The present invention provides a cooking utensil having a smell trapping device. Food smell molecules generated when food is cooked are trapped and dissolved in water, so a removing efficiency is improved and a problem caused by food smells may be relieved. At the same time, a recognition function is ensured to enable a user to know a point of time when vapor and smells are discharged, so smells discharged with vapor may be blocked in time, and the user may recognize a point of time when cooking is finished. Accordingly, the cooking utensil may be conveniently used. The cooking utensil according to the present invention comprises: a cooking body including a container having an opening unit for accommodating food, and a cover for covering the opening unit of the container; and the smell trapping device installed in the cooking body so as to trap, dissolve, and remove smells. The smell trapping device comprises: a first alarming sound generation plate for constituting a path for feeding and discharging vapor including smell molecules generated in the cooking body, and having a fine slit fixed and formed in a vapor feeding side to generate an alarming sound when vapor passes; and a trapping container body having a water storing space formed in an upper side of the first alarming sound generation plate. |
