The present invention provides a backlight assembly which comprises: a light source; a circuit board on which the light source is arranged; a light guide plate wherein light emitted from the light source is incident on one surface of the light guide plate and the light is emitted from the other surface of the light guide plate; a wavelength conversion unit which is arranged between the light source and the light guide plate; and a spacer which is arranged in the outer peripheral area of the light source.
