The present invention relates to an electric power steering system and a vehicle pulling compensation method using the same. The electric power steering system according to the present invention comprises: a pulling compensation activation selection unit to generate a pulling compensation function activation signal for activating a pulling compensation function when a request for activating the pulling compensation function is received from a driver of a vehicle; a compensation steering angle adjustment unit to adjust a magnitude of a compensation steering angle value for compensating for a pulling phenomenon of the vehicle; a steering control unit to activate the compensation steering angle adjustment unit if the pulling compensation activation selection unit receives the pulling compensation activation signal, and then generate a pulling compensation control current corresponding to a prescribed compensation steering angle value if the prescribed compensation steering angle value is inputted from the compensation steering angle adjustment unit; and a steering motor to generate pulling compensation torque corresponding to the pulling compensation control current if the pulling compensation control current is received from the steering control unit. |
