NON-INVASIVE METHOD FOR MEASURING TISSUE PERFUSION STATE |
摘要 |
A non-invasive method for determining the tissue perfusion state in a patient, by measuring the variations in the skin CO2 pressure and in the perfusion index of the patient during the conducting of a localized hyperthermia test. |

1. A non-invasive method for determining the microcirculatory perfusion state of a patient, comprising the following steps:
(i) measurements under normal temperature conditions: using one or more sensor(s) which are non-heated or maintained at a temperature chosen between 30° C. and 37° C., carrying out the following measurements:
measurement of the cutaneous CO2 pressure (PcCO2) of the patient;measurement of the perfusion index (PI) of the patient; (ii) hyperthermia challenge: increasing the temperature of the sensor(s) to a temperature chosen between 40° C. and 48° C.; maintaining this temperature for a period of between 3 and 15 minutes, then bringing the temperature of the sensor(s) back to the initial temperature; measuring the variations in the cutaneous CO2 pressure and in the perfusion index of the patient during this challenge; (iii) interpretation:
a drop in the cutaneous CO2 pressure during the hyperthermia challenge, accompanied by an increase in the perfusion index greater than a predetermined threshold, indicates that the vascular endothelium at the level of the microcirculatory network of the patient is functional;an increase in the cutaneous CO2 pressure during the hyperthermia challenge, accompanied by an increase in the perfusion index less than a predetermined threshold, is indicative of the microcirculatory network of the patient being affected. |
