A puppet show apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a stage background card; a character puppet; a background holder into which the stage background card is inserted; a character holder into which the character puppet is inserted; an electric motor for the character holder to operate a wire connected to the character holder to move the character holder; an electric motor for the background holder to operate a wire connected to the background holder to move the background holder; and a controller to control the electric motor for the character holder and the electric motor for the background holder.
