The invention relates to a method for using sublimation gases such as CO2 in automatic washing systems/industrial cleaning systems for vehicles. In the existing prior art, the carbon dioxide used as a cleaning agent must be disposed of after each cleaning process, regardless of the state of aggregation of the carbon dioxide. However, it has not become known that vehicle washing facilities operating with carbon dioxide have gained entry into industrial practice. It has become known even less that vehicle washing facilities operating with carbon dioxide have been equipped with carbon dioxide recycling units. In the procedure according to the invention, the used carbon dioxide is reused. Thus, the energy necessary for the generation of CO2 does not have to be applied repeatedly. CO2 can be recovered and introduced into new production areas, advantageously for cleaning purposes again. It is intended that this occurs multiple times.
