A system for remotely monitoring a senior citizen who lives alone by using a gateway having a self-call function is provided to comprise the gateway which determines whether or not the senior citizen who lives alone receives a self-bell through a self-bell function, and transmits personal abnormality estimation information to a service management server when a problem related to personal abnormality, thereby solving management inconvenience such as a call fee of the service management server when performing a self-call function of the present invention, a server device fee, and traffic increase. The present invention is provided to perform the self-call function at a specific time when necessity of personal abnormality confirmation for the senior citizen who lives alone is high without the service management server, and economically and rapidly monitor the personal abnormality and the emergency situation of the senior citizen who lives alone, thereby smoothly performing a society safety net function of the senior citizen who lives alone. |
