According to an embodiment of the present invention, a thermostat having an anti-hunting structure comprises: a thermostat housing in which a space for receiving cooling water is formed, and a connection passage connected to the space is formed; a thermostat valve installed in a portion of the space connected to the connection passage to open and close the connection passage; and a drive unit to move the thermostat valve according to a temperature of the cooling water in a prescribed direction to open and close the connection passage. The thermostat valve comprises: a first sealing member forming a sealing structure with an inner circumferential surface of the connection passage; and a second sealing member forming a sealing structure with an inner surface of the space. A recess is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the connection passage. The recess can form a gap with the first sealing member.
