The present invention relates to a water guard for a sink which prevents water from a faucet used when a user washes dishes or prepares food on a sink or sewage from splashing and wetting clothes, and can be used by men and women of all ages by extending and contracting the water guard in steps regardless of a height of the user. Conventionally, a long hole in a longitudinal direction is formed on a front of a water tank of a sink, a waterproof curtain wound on a winding bar in the sink is pulled by a restoring spring to draw the waterproof curtain through the long hole, and an impact is applied to the restoring spring to rewind the waterproof curtain. A conventional water splash prevention device cannot be used without the long hole on the sink. Therefore, the conventional water splash prevention device cannot be installed on a sink which does not have an existing long hole, thereby decreasing compatibility. The present invention installs a water guard comprising an ascending/descending plate which ascends/descends and blocks water or sewage and a support plate supporting the ascending/descending plate without damaging the sink, extends and contracts the ascending/descending plate in steps using an ascending/descending means to block the water guard regardless of the height of the user, folds a post when not in use to reduce a volume, prevents interference with an arm of the user when the sink is used for a different purpose, and allows water to drip from the water guard for natural drying. |
