According to one embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate; a gate line and a data line formed on the first substrate; a first insulation film formed on the gate line and the data line; a first electrode formed on the first insulation film and having a planar shape; a second insulation film formed on the first electrode; and a second electrode formed on the second insulation film and having a plurality of branched finger electrodes. The width of the branched finger electrodes is approximately 2 μm or less, and the height of the branched finger electrodes is approximately 4000 Å or less.
