摘要 The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for correcting a torque offset of a steering device. The apparatus for correcting a torque offset of a steering device according to the present invention comprises: an RPM sensor to detect a number of revolutions per minute (RPM) of an engine; a vehicle speed sensor to detect a speed of a vehicle; a torque sensor to detect torque of the vehicle to output a torque value; a steering angle sensor to measure a steering angle of a steering wheel to output a steering angle value; a gravity sensor to measure a degree of a tilt of the vehicle; and a control unit to determine the torque detected by the torque sensor as an offset of the torque sensor if the vehicle is determined to be stalled according to the RPM and the vehicle speed detected by the RPM sensor and the vehicle speed sensor, and the vehicle is determined to be in a state where the torque is not generated based on the torque value, the steering angle value, and the tilt of the vehicle. Accordingly, the torque value of the torque sensor can be corrected with an accurate offset to control a steering device. Therefore, stability of the vehicle is improved, and a driver is provided with comfortable steering.
