Provided are an imaging element and imaging device that assure image quality performance and also make possible rapid focal point detection even in a greatly defocused state. An imaging element (21) has a plurality of imaging pixels, a plurality of focal point detecting pixels (RL pixels, TB pixels, T2 / B2 pixels) having an opening of a light receiving part positioned offset from the imaging pixels, and a plurality of color filters disposed corresponding with the imaging pixels and focal point detecting pixels. In addition, in the imaging element (21), a first focal point detecting pixel (TB pixel) having the opening positioned offset in a first direction (vertical direction thereof) is disposed in a position corresponding with a first color filter (blue or red filter) for the imaging pixels, and a second focal point detecting pixel (T2 / B2 pixel) having the opening positioned offset in the first direction and having a different opening ratio from the first focal point detecting pixel is disposed in a position corresponding with the first color filter. |
