PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable hermetic seal cover by a method wherein the seal rings, on the whole surfaces of which a thin layer of an alloy brazing metal is coated, are junctioned to the peripheral edge parts of the metallic cover, on the whole surface of which a coated film with a good brazing property is coated, over the whole peripheries of the peripheral edge parts through the thin layers, the cover and the seal rings are heated, and at the same time, the cover and the seal rings are pressingly adhered by applying pressure over the whole peripheries of the peripheral edge parts. CONSTITUTION:A coated film 9 consisting of a gold plating is coated on the whole surface of a cover 7, a thin layer 8 consisting of a tin plating is coated on the whole surface of seal rings 6 and the seal rings 6 are pressingly adhered on the metallic cover 7 through the thin layers 8. An indium brazing metal, a tin-antimony alloy brazing metal and so forth are suitable for the material of the thin layers 8 of the seal rings 6 in addition to the tin plating and the thin layers 8 are at least adhered on parts of the surfaces of the seal rings 6, where abut on the cover 7. The pressure adhesion of the seal rings 6 having the thin layers 8 to the cover 7 is performed by heating in an anodizing atmosphere at temperatures lower than the melting point of the metal of the thin layers 8 or that of an alloy brazing metal, and at the same time, the pressure adhesion is attained by applying uniformly pressure to the seal rings 6 and the peripheral edge parts of the cover 7 over the whole peripheries of the peripheral edge parts. |
