This system affords improvements to parking problems most especially in built-up areas and local communities, more specially as regards the management of reserved or priority locations such as, for example, those envisaged for handicapped persons. Indeed, today it is never easy to find an available parking spot in a town and, when it is found, one is confronted with material and practical difficulties of payment. Through a dual pinpointing and locating system, i.e. on the one hand a global satellite-based system, of GPS type, and on the other hand a local system of beacons connected to a hertzian communication network, of GSM type, for example, cooperating with a very lightweight specific item of equipment, integral with the vehicle, one obtains complete, good and secure management of the locations available. A service platform 10 makes it possible to validate the parking permission, to make it possible to publish this permission in relation to third parties, in particular at the vehicle level, and to also ensure secure payment without needless complications. This service platform also makes it possible to provide, on account of its very existence within the system, numerous complementary services to individuals, to communities and to security agents. It also helps in the prevention of the theft of vehicles and facilitates their recovery. |
