A subsea switchgear for switching the power supply to plural subsea loads (40), comprising a subsea enclosure (11) configured to allow the deployment of the subsea switchgear (10) at a subsea location, a power input (12) for receiving AC electrical power from a power source (50), at least two power outputs (13) for giving out AC electrical power, and a power distribution bus (15) for distributing the received AC electrical power to the at least two power outputs (13), wherein between each power output (13) and the power distribution bus (15), a contactor (20) is connected which is controllable to connect or disconnect the respective power output (13) from the power distribution bus (15). |
