The present invention relates to a structural member using a tailor-welded blank (TWB), and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method of a structural member using a TWB comprises: a process of preparing a first material and a second material having a thicker thickness and a greater strength than the first material; a process of joining the first and the second material by butt welding to form TWB; and a process of shaping the TWB into a first member having one or more corners. The second material is positioned on at least a portion of the corners of the first member to improve hardness, energy absorbing capability, and collision performance.
