The invention relates to a side-channel pump with a pump housing (15), in which a working chamber (23) provided with a side channel (24) and a motor (19, 20) are arranged, and with an impeller (22) in the working chamber (23), said impeller being rotated by a shaft (14) driven by the motor (19, 20). According to the invention, a cooling circuit (40, 44, 45, 46) extends from the working chamber (23) to the motor (19, 20) and from the motor (19, 20) to a suction section (46) of the pump. The cooling circuit (40, 44, 45, 46) is supplied from the working chamber (23), the outlet side of which is connected to an outlet opening (17) of the side-channel pump. Gas can be suctioned using the pump without overheating the pump. |
