An electronic cigarette atomizer sealing ring assembly quality detection apparatus and method. The apparatus comprises a mounting bracket (3), a detection component (1) arranged on the mounting bracket (3) and a control component (2) in communication with the detection component (1). The detection component (1) comprises an image acquisition unit (11), wherein the image acquisition unit (11) is located right above a detection station and used for photographing a sealing ring in an electronic cigarette atomizer on the detection station. The control component (2) comprises an image processing module (21), an image comparison module (22), a central processing module (23) and a prompting module (24). When in detection, the image acquisition unit (11) above the detection station photographs the sealing ring in a electronic cigarette atomizer to be detected and then performs comparison, and thus can judge whether an assembly position of the sealing ring satisfies preliminary settings, so that whether the assembly quality of the sealing ring reaches the standard or not can be detected. The entire detection process is low in time and high in efficiency; moreover, the detection result is intuitive and easy to judge, and the detection precision is high.
