摘要

This magnetic recording medium is provided with a supporting body, and a magnetic layer containing a magnetic powder. The magnetic powder contains magnetic particles containing cubic ferrite and/or magnetic particles containing ε-phase iron oxide. The average particle size of the magnetic powder is 10-14 nm, and the average aspect ratio of the magnetic powder is 0.75-1.25, and the ten-point average roughness (Rz) of the magnetic layer is equal to or less than 35 nm.
