Provided is a resin treatment pigment that is useful as a coloring agent for a color filter or for an inkjet ink, capable of widening the hue range and improving performance such as color density, coloring ability, and transparency, and has excellent properties such as pigment dispersibility, dispersion stability, re-solubility, and alkali solubility. Provided is an A-B block co-polymer whereof 90% by mass or more is constituted from a methacrylate monomer, wherein A comprises, as a constituent unit, a methacrylate having a carboxy group, and B comprises, as a constituent unit, an ion binding portion comprising an organic dye wherein one or more sulfonate ions are bound as counter ions for a nitrogen cation in the quaternary ammonium comprising methacrylate and represented by formula (1). |
