Gas-permeable, waterproof films and coatings made from the polymerization products of diisocyanates in the presence of dialkyl formamides (see Specification 1,104,174) are modified by adding natural or synthetic fibres or fibrous materials of organic or inorganic origin to the mixture prior to application to the support, preferably in amounts of up to 20%. Specified fibres include cellulose and cellulose esters, polyethylene terephthalate and nylon fibres and preferably have lengths of 1 to 15 mm.
