In diapers with a pocket in the back section, the present invention causes an even tensile force to act on the portion where the pocket is formed. The portion of the main body (1k) between a waist-encircling elastic member (71) and an absorbent core (11) is formed as a waist-encircling elastic member (71)- and absorbent core (11)-less portion (1kbn). On the back side of the main body (1k), back side flaps (1bsf) that extend outward in the width direction from the main body are formed. A pair of fastening tapes (61) is provided on the two ends of the back side flaps (1bsf) in the width direction. Each of the pair of fastening tapes (61) has engaging sections (61m) for engaging with the abdominal section when the absorbent article is worn. When the longitudinal center position of a prescribed position of an engaging section (61m) in the width direction is defined as a center position (hcp), a central line (CL) connecting the center positions (hcp) of the pair of engaging sections (61m) to each other along the width direction passes through the elastic member- and absorbent core-less portion (1kbn) in the central section of the absorbent article (1) in the width direction. |
