PURPOSE:To obtain invariable normal images by allowing a device to start operating when the detected quantity of light from a light source for lighting originals reaches the preset reference quantity of light. CONSTITUTION:A fluorescent lamp is turned on and its quantity of light is detected by a photodetecting element 10 and compared by a comparing circuit 21 with the preset reference quantity of light; when the detected quantity is less than the reference quantity, the fluorescent lamp is turned on with a maximum current and when the reference quantity is reached, a device drive control circuit 23 starts copying operation and holds the quantity of fluorescent lamp light constant. Therefore, paper is fed from a copy ready point regardless of whether a preheating or rapid heating means is provided or not and invariably normal images are obtained. |
