摘要 The provided invention relates to methods of strength testing of items made of brittle material by application of repeated mechanical, temperature and other forces, and can be used, in particular, to determine the durability of ceramic items. The present invention is aimed at solving the currently urgent problem of quicker estimation of durability of ceramic items with consideration for actual conditions of their use. The technical result of using the claimed invention is the possibility to determine durability of ceramic items under definite service conditions. The essence of the invention is that, at the first stage, the process mode of ceramic items manufacture providing for the required operability reserve is determined. Using the obtained operability reserve and knowing the presumed time during which ceramic items must preserve their strength parameters (t), the permissible rated speed of produced reserves consumption is assessed. At the second stage, by simulating the conditions of real operation (reproducing accelerated cyclic temperature variations with simultaneous impact of possible mechanical factors), actual rate of consumption (θ) of the same reserves is determined. Comparison of the results obtained (calculated permissible consumption rate and actual rate obtained in imitation of operating conditions) yield results that allow to judge of potential strength of ceramic items.
