In order to measure and diagnose a cavity, for example of a control valve in a power plant, a suitable device (51) is proposed, which device can rotate a laser scanner (SE) on a rotor (RO) in the cavity, thus creating a three-dimensional image of the cavity. In this case, an axis of symmetry of rotationally symmetrical sections of the cavity can also be calculated as a central axis. The device (51) is suitable for all measurement tasks during valve housing renovation. In this case, the laser scanner (SE) can also digitally record a surface structure of a housing section. Embodiments make it possible to mount a supporting means (42) in an automated manner in the cavity with the device and to centre the supporting means with respect to the central axis of the cavity in an automated manner. |
