The invention relates to new derivatives of tazarotene of general formula (I), wherein n is 0 or 1; Ris Calkyl, optionally substituted hydroxy, C-Calkoxy, NRRor C(O)OR; Calkenyl; phenyl, optionally substituted hydroxy; pyridinyl; piperidinyl, optionally substituted with Calkyl; or tetrahydropyranyl; and Ris hydrogen or Calkyl; Rand Rare hydrogen; and Ris Calkyl; that exhibit retinoid activity, to pharmaceutical compositions comprising the derivatives, and to the use of the compounds for preparing a drug for treating skin disorders.
