Ginseng affects the formation, growth, or division of an α-hemolytic streptococcus colony. When the concentration of α-hemolytic streptococcus is low, a fungus body formation inhibiting effect is greater. An antibacterial effect of ginsenoside which is a saponin component of ginseng is a main factor, and growth inhibiting activity of ginseng acts for maximum about 24 hours. An improvement and prevention effect is expected, when a person intakes or administrates ginseng or red ginseng for α-hemolytic streptococcus causing inflammation or diseases by the occasional existence of a fungus body inside the body. Especially, an improvement effect of ginseng against heart diseases or blood flow reduction has been found, so that ginseng is continuously medically used against α-hemolytic streptococcus forming a fungus body inside the body by penetrating into the blood. |
