The present invention relates to a method of transmitting and receiving a signal and to an apparatus of transmitting and receiving a signal. The method of receiving a signal in the present invention includes the steps of: receiving a signal transmitted in a radio frequency (RF) band including at least one RF channel; demodulating the received signal; parsing a signal frame of the received signal, and parsing and outputting a preamble of the signal frame including layer-1 information; deinterleaving bits of the layer-1 information; decoding the deinterleaved bits using an error correction decoding scheme including a shortening scheme and a puncturing scheme; and parsing the signal frame by using the error-correction-decoded layer-1 information, and obtaining physical layer pipes (PLPs) from the signal frame.
