An electronic cigarette and a control method therefor. The electronic cigarette comprises a heating wire component (11) used for producing heat, where the heating wire component (11) comprises a heating wire (110) having a resistance that varies with temperature; a power source (13) used for providing the heating component (11) with a voltage; and, a controller (14) electrically connected to the heating wire component (11) and the power source (13) and used for controlling the voltage outputted by the power source (13). The controller (14) comprises a temperature detection module (141) used for detecting the resistance of the heating wire (110) and thus acquiring the actual temperature of the heating wire component (11). The temperature detection module (141) is provided with a maximum heating temperature and a minimum heating temperature. When the actual temperature is less than the minimum heating temperature, the controller (14) controls the power source (13) to output a first voltage. When the actual temperature is greater than or equal to the maximum heating temperature, the controller (14) controls the power source (13) to output a second voltage. The second voltage is lower than the first voltage. When the actual temperature is greater than the minimum heating temperature and less than the maximum heating temperature, the controller (14) controls the power source (13) to keep outputting a current voltage. |
