The present invention relates to a filling device (1) for filling a filtering material to a filter unit. The filling device (1) comprises a reservoir (2) for filtering material and the filling device (1) is arranged to move along a surface of a filter unit between a first position in which the reservoir (2) of the filling device (1) may be filled with filtering material and a second position in which the filling device (1) can release the filtering material from said reservoir (2) to said filter unit. The invention further relates to filter arrangement comprising a filter unit and a filling device (1) according to claim 1 and a method for filling filtering material to a filter arrangement.
