The present invention relates to an optical filter for stereoscopic display device and a method for manufacturing the same. The optical filter includes a base film which satisfies equation (1) : 0nm <= Rin 50nm and (2) 0nm <= Rth<= 100nm; and a 3D filter layer which is formed on the base film and includes a first region and a second region which have different phase delay characteristics. In the equation, the Rin is the surface direction phase difference value of the base film measured in 550nm wavelength, and the Rth is the thickness direction phase difference value of the base film measured in 550nm wavelength.
