The present invention relates to a metal detecting apparatus, and more specifically, to a metal detecting apparatus which oscillates a variable frequency by digitally controlling a frequency oscillated by a transmitter to detect metal remaining in food. The metal detecting apparatus oscillating a variable frequency according to digital switching according to the present invention detects metal remaining in food, and comprises: a transmitting unit to amplify an oscillating frequency and inject a signal into target food via a transmission antenna; and a receiving unit to amplify a signal transmitted through the target food and received by a receiving antenna to output a digital signal. The oscillating frequency is oscillated by a variable sine wave oscillator in which an inductor and two or more capacitors are connected in parallel. Inputs of the capacitors are switched on and off by a digital controller. The variable sine wave oscillator oscillates different frequencies by on/off control of the digital controller. |
