The present invention relates to a system and method for storing software definition for sharing and managing data in a distributed storage environment, wherein an RAID used in a distributed storage environment and a network virtualization technique are fused. A storage device is constructed in a software-based virtualization storage, so flexible control and management may be provided. Also, capacity of a physical storage and rehabilitation expenses for natural disaster may be remarkably reduced. The system is an RAID system (10) connected with a host, and includes an RAID controller unit (11) for setting up a virtual storing device connected with a network (20) when a disc error is detected in the RAID system (10). The RAID controller unit (11) drives RAID-N (N: one or two mixed levels from 0 to 53) when the disc error is detected, and operation of the RAID-N selects the virtual storing device set up and transmits disc data. When the disc error is restored, the RAID controller unit (11) performs a function of transmitting disc data transmitted to the virtual storage device to the restored disc. |
