The present invention relates to a mobile terminal for effectively searching for stored image data, and a method for controlling the same. In particular, the mobile terminal according to the present invention comprises: a memory for storing at least one piece of image data; a touch screen; and a control unit for outputting a thumbnail list for the stored image data as a first scale, receiving a plurality of numbers of scroll inputs for the outputted thumbnail list, and changing the output of the outputted thumbnail list from the first scale into a second scale when the received scroll inputs meet a scale changing condition. |
