The present disclosure relates to a method and system for extending the bandwidth of an antenna of a transmitter front end. The transmitter front end comprises a resonant antenna and a variable capacitance device for tuning a center resonant frequency of the resonant antenna. The bandwidth of the transmitter front end is determined by the bandwidth of the resonant antenna. By operating the variable capacitance device to alternately couple capacitances both larger and smaller than a reference capacitance associated with a resonant frequency, to the transmitter, the bandwidth of the transmitter may be extended. |
