A lighting device includes a rotating unit (3), a clutching unit (4) releasably engaging the rotating unit (3), and a lighting unit (5) connected to the rotating unit (3). The clutching unit (4) is operable to move between a first position, where the clutching unit (4) engages the rotating unit (3) to restrict the same from freely rotating, and a second position, where the clutching unit (4) disengages the rotating unit (3) to permit any direction of rotation thereof. The lighting unit (5) is adjustable when the clutching unit (4) is in the second position. The clutching unit (4) is moved from the second position to the first position to position the lighting unit (5).
