In the present invention, an image processing device comprises: an image acquisition unit (100) that acquires time-sequence images which were captured in a time sequence; and a processing unit (200) that detects a switching position which is a position at which a subject that is shown in the time-sequence images is switched from a first subject to a second subject. The processing unit (200): extracts a characteristic amount from each of the images of the time-sequence images; determines, on the basis of the characteristic amounts, whether the subject shown in the images is the first subject or the second subject; extracts, on the basis of the determination results, candidate positions for the switching position; and determines the switching position by comparing the candidate positions on the basis of the determination results. |
