A controller, flash memory device and method for writing data into the flash memory device; the controller is used in a storage system comprising the controller and a flash memory device; the flash memory device comprises a flash memory chip comprising a block; the block comprises a plurality of pages, at least one of the plurality of pages being a corrupted page; the controller comprises a communication interface and a processor; the communication interface is used to communicate with the flash memory device; and the processor is used to receive capacity information of the block transmitted by the flash memory device. The method comprises: acquiring the available capacity of the block according to the capacity information of the block, the available capacity excluding the capacity of the corrupted page; reading the target data, the size of the target data being the available capacity of the block; and transmitting the target data to the flash memory device, thus improving utilization of the block and saving the storage space of an SSD.
