The invention relates to a method for profiling the surface of any endoprosthesis fixed by cementing, irrespective of the anatomical zone for which it is intended, with a view to ensuring its in-vivo durability. According to the invention, the method consists in making an endoprosthesis (1) having a surface (2), which can be spherical, plate or can have any other shape, on which the osseous cement is to be applied and which will be profiled by carrying out an array (3) of channels whose cross-section shape produces an effect of retention of the osseous cement, irrespective of the direction of action of the forces and favours the elimination of air bubbles in order to reduce the porosity of the polymerized cement mass, where, for a supplemental fixation, the endoprosthesis (1) may be provided with some holes (4) for orthopedic screws which can be used during surgery, and for reducing the internal stresses, the edges of the retentive profile may be provided with some fillet radiuses (5).
|
