<p>A radio receiver apparatus comprises: a broadcast radio receiver module, an internet radio receiver module and a controller module 12. The controller module receives signals from the broadcast radio receiver module 13, 14 and the internet radio receiver module, compares the signals to determine which signal is of a higher desired quality and outputs or processes for output the higher quality signal. The desired quality may be indicative of signal strength, signal to noise ration or another chosen parameter. The controller module outputs a list of radio stations available from the signals output from the radio receiver module to a display 23 and removes duplicate radio stations from the list. The broadcast radio receiver module may include at least one analogue radio tuner and at least one digital radio tuner. The apparatus may include an audio amplifier module, and a communication module for communicating with a computing device such as a mobile telephone or hand-held tablet device.</p> |
