In this invention, when transmitting email data that has a plurality of BCC recipients as destinations, the content of email body text to be added can be changed per BCC recipient. This communication device is provided with a user-input unit, an email generation unit, and a transmission unit. Email body text and a plurality of BCC recipients are inputted via the user-input unit, as are group-attribute settings that indicate groups to which the respective BCC recipients belong and additional content to add to the email body text for each group attribute. The email generation unit generates email data for a BCC recipient for whom a group-attribute setting was inputted via the user-input unit, said email data containing the aforementioned email body text and the additional content corresponding to the group to which that BCC recipient belongs. The transmission unit transmits, to an email server, the email data generated by the email-data generation unit. |
