A variable-magnification optical sight intended for use when firing firearms. The optical sight comprises, installed in a housing: a lens; an eyepiece; a casing, in which are positioned a rotational system and a magnification adjustment system in a movable barrel; a reticle; a magnification adjustment mechanism; and alignment mechanisms; the casing is kinematically coupled with the alignment mechanisms and is provided with a longitudinal groove; the lens end of the casing is spherical and abuts the housing; a bushing is installed between the casing and the lens and abuts the inner spherical surface of the casing; a threaded ring is mounted in front of the lens; a second threaded ring is mounted on the other end of the casing, with the working ends of the alignment mechanisms abutting said second threaded ring; the magnification adjustment mechanism is comprised of a pusher, a lever and a handle, which are kinematically coupled to one another; the pusher is connected to the barrel of the magnification adjustment system. The dimensions of the device are reduced and the design thereof is simplified by virtue of simplifying and combining the mechanisms for changing the equivalent focal length of a lens, for adjusting the magnification and for aligning a sight. |
