METHOD AND DEVICE FOR RECOGNIZING PICTURE JUNK FILES

A method and device for recognizing picture junk files, which are used for a server side to recognize picture junk files in cached network data. The method comprises: obtaining a directory to be detected (101); judging whether the number of files in the directory is greater than or equal to a first pre-set value (102); if so, judging whether file names of the files in the directory contain keywords which represent the cached network data (103); if the keywords are contained, determining that the files in the directory are the cached network data, and then, judging whether keywords which represent useless picture files exist in the cached network data, so as to find out whether picture junk files exist (104); if the picture junk files exist, recognizing the found picture files as cached picture junk files (105); and recording a directory path where the cached picture junk files are located (106). By means of the solution, the cached network picture junk files can be accurately recognized.
