Described are the use of an antibody is that specifically binds to a N-terminal epitope of Aβ for manufacturing a preparation for treating Alzheimer's disease and similar diseases in which the regime administered to a patient depends on the ApoE genotype of the patient and also a humanized form of a 3D6 antibody that specifically binds to a N-terminal epitope of Aβ, a pharmaceutical composition comprising said antibody and an isolated nucleic acid encoding said antibody.
