The present invention relates to a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The mobile terminal of the present invention may include: a touch screen on which multiple work windows are displayed; and a control unit which enters a window selection mode for selecting one among multiple work windows when a first input is received through the touch screen, selects a work window according to a second input received in the window selection mode, activates the selected work window according to a third input received in the state that the work window is selected, and displays the work window on top of the touch screen. In the case that multiple work windows are displayed on the touch screen of the mobile terminal, a user can thereby instinctively select the desired work window and activate the work window. |
