摘要 A multi-view device for use in conjunction with a display apparatus is provided. The device includes: a lens unit which operates to selectively transmit or block light; a communication unit which communicates with the display apparatus which is displaying a content image; and a controller which receives a beacon signal in synchronization with a display period of the content image from the display apparatus via the communication unit, controls an operation of the lens unit based on the received beacon signal, and changes a reception frequency of the beacon signal in accordance with a running time of the content image displayed on the display apparatus.

A multi-view device for use in conjunction with a display apparatus, comprising: a lens unit which operates to selectively transmit or block light; a communication unit which communicates with the display apparatus which is displaying a content image; a controller which receives a beacon signal in synchronization with a display period of the content image from the display apparatus via the communication unit and controls an operation of the lens unit based on the received beacon signal; and a battery which supplies power to the communication unit, the lens unit and the controller, wherein the beacon signal comprises a running time of a display of the content image being displayed on the display apparatus, the controller determines whether a remaining amount of the battery power is lower than an amount of power required to receive the beacon signal for a remaining running time of the display of the content image, and the controller controls the battery to not supply power to the communication unit when it is determined that the remaining amount of the battery power is lower than the amount of power required to receive the beacon signal for the remaining running time of the display of the content image.
