The present invention relates to a semiconductor memory device performing a refresh operation according to temperature, which may include: an oscillating signal generating unit for generating an oscillating signal having a period defined by an intended function; a period control unit for controlling the intended function to be defined by different functions in response to refresh property information; and a memory cell array performing the refresh operation in response to the oscillating signals.
