Disclosed are a mobile terminal and a method for controlling the same. The method for controlling the same can display comprises of: displaying the a touch input interface including at least one graphic object and a divided first region corresponding to each graphic object; recognizing the divided first region as the touch input region of each graphic object; detecting the distance to the user; and changing, when the distance to the user is within a set distance, the touch input region of each graphic object into a specific region distinguishable from the divided first region, and recognizing the changed specific region as a touch input region receiving the touch input from a second object. According to present invention, the convenience of touch input and enhance the touch recognition by correcting the touch input area according to the user′s usage behavior. |
