Disclosed are a bidirectional optical transceiver module and an aligning method thereof which can perform optical transmission and reception simultaneously by using one optical fiber and one package. The bidirectional optical transceiver module according to the present invention comprises: a package provided with a cavity formed on one side thereof and penetrated by a plurality of lead wires; a platform mounted on the package; a transmitting unit which is mounted on the platform and generates output light; a holder comprising a horizontal unit disposed on the package to block the cavity and provided with a penetration hole formed thereon, and a vertical unit protruding upwards on the horizontal unit, forming a through hole connected to the penetration hole, and forming an inclined surface on one side thereof; a receiving unit which is mounted in the cavity and generates an electric signal corresponding to input light entering the cavity through the through hole and the penetration hole; and a wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) filter which is disposed on the inclined surface of the vertical unit, transfers the output light towards an optical fiber, and transfers the input light towards the through hole and the penetration hole. |
