[Also in Division B5] A floor covering comprises a surface layer of a textile fabric weighing from 4 to 12 ozs./sq. yd. and an adherent backing or flexible polyurethane having a thickness of at least i inch and a density of between 2 and 5 1bs./cubic ft., said floor-covering having a compression per unit thickness of at least 70% may be made by allowing foam formation to take place in contact with textile material, the foam-forming reaction mixture being applied by spraying or spreading. The textile fabric may be woven, knitted or felted and derived from fibres of wool, cotton, linen, viscose rayon, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, cellulose triacetate, polyacrylonitrile and blends thereof. |
